As our firm embarks on the journey to find a suitable replacement for Aderant, we would greatly appreciate your insights and recommendations on potential practice management solutions that deserve our consideration.
Our Requirements:
- Cloud-Based Solutions: We’re looking for a platform that operates in the cloud.
- Firm Size Compatibility: Ideally fit for a firm with around 75 timekeepers.
- Integrated Conflicts Check & Intake: We need a system that seamlessly includes conflicts checks alongside client intake.
- Time Entry and Billing: Efficient time tracking and billing functionalities are essential.
- Client Relationship Management (CRM): An integrated CRM is a must-have.
- Integration Capabilities: Must work well with iManage (cloud version) and QuickBooks.
- Reliable Support: While I know this can be a tall order, having excellent customer support is a priority.
Our Current Considerations:
So far, we have explored a few options:
- Surepoint: While it has features we need, we found the user interface quite clunky.
- Caret: Unfortunately, their responsiveness has left something to be desired, which is concerning.
- Centerbase: Just recently came across this option, but the reviews have not been particularly favorable.
- Clio: We haven’t had the opportunity for a demo yet, but the feedback on it has been mixed.
Your Input Needed:
Are there any other platforms that I might have overlooked? I’ve heard some buzz around Filevine, Smokeball, Practice Panther, Tabs, and MyCase, but I haven’t delved deeply into their offerings. It seems many of these may cater better to solo practitioners or smaller boutique firms.
If you have experience with any of the solutions mentioned, especially within a firm of our size, I would love to hear your thoughts. What features stood out to you, and what were some of the hurdles? How did the implementation process go?
